EUROPA PARK’S RESORT HOTELS

As Germany’s #1 theme park, Europa Park draws in over 5 million visitors a year to experience its rides and attractions. The high quality levels of immersive theming, great ride operations and sheer number of attractions is what makes this park what it is, and it’s very unlikely that guests will be able to make the most of their trip in just one day.

For visitors wishing to extend their stay, and treat themselves to a little luxury, Europa Park has seven accommodation options, each offering something a little bit different. Whilst all resort accommodations provide a high level of quality, the theming and amenities differ from property to property, providing options for varying budgets.

ENJOY THE WILD WEST AT CAMP RESORT

Starting off with this family friendly option, Europa Park’s CAMP RESORT is located just a five minute walk to the main entrance of the park. A rustic Wild West themed area, Camp Resort offers accommodation in tee-pees, log cabins and covered wagons set around a gorgeous lake. It is great for families, larger groups or people on a smaller budget. The majority of accommodation options at Camp Resort use shared facilities.

For dining and entertainment at Camp Resort, the SILVER LAKE SALOON offers a fabulous evening out. This double storey saloon bar and restaurant offers hearty meals including burgers, ribs and steaks as well as delicious desserts. With evening entertainment on the saloon stage, the Silver Lake Saloon is always a great place to visit at least once during your stay at the Europa Park hotels.

STAY IN THE SPANISH ELEGANCE OF HOTEL EL ANDALUZ

The Spanish themed HOTEL EL ANDALUZ borders the Spain area to the rear of Europa Park. With its terracotta tiled floors, tropical gardens, courtyards and outdoor swimming pool, it’s a lush haven of a property with a Moorish influence. Room options range from Standard and Comfort Rooms through to Deluxe and King Suites which are absolutely stunning.

For dining and drinking, the four star Hotel El Andaluz has some fantastic options. The wonderful DON QUICHOTTE restaurant borders the theme park, offering some fabulous Spanish specialities in warm surroundings. For evening drinks, look no further than EL CIRCO bar. This circus themed bar is bright and colourful, its walls adorned with circus related décor, masks and magic. It’s a perfect spot to start your evening out at the Europa Park hotels.

EXPERIENCE THE MEDIEVAL FORTRESS OF HOTEL CASTILLO ALCAZAR

Expanding on the Spanish theme, to the rear of Hotel El Andaluz and with great views across the theme park, HOTEL CASTILLO ALCAZAR is themed to an old medieval Spanish Castle. Wander through the castle’s stone corridors, passing suits of armour and fiery torches to reach a range of hotel room offerings. Standard, Comfort and Deluxe Rooms provide guests with all the luxuries of a modern hotel room, with rustic theming, and some overlooking the theme park.

The varying dining options from property to property provide such a range for a multi-night stay at the Europa Park hotels. Castillo Alcazar’s fabulous RESTAURANT CASTILLO offers Brazilian style grilled meats on skewers which are rotated from table to table, alongside a sumptuous buffet in a wonderful medieval setting. Once you’ve had your fill of food, head to the BUENA VISTA CLUB on the 9th floor of the castle with panoramic views. This awesome bar features a number of smaller rooms for a cosy and intimate night, with a great selection of drinks.

FIND YOUR INNER PEACE AT HOTEL SANTA ISABEL

Themed in the style of a Portuguese monastery, HOTEL SANTA ISABEL is a truly beautiful and peaceful haven away from the thrills of the theme park. The gorgeous white washed exterior building invites you into a peaceful monastery of calming relaxing music and toned down surroundings. There’s even a consecrated chapel within the building for moments of reflection. As well as the range of rooms and suites, Santa Isabel features a spa on the 5th floor along with a heated outdoor pool on the ground floor.

Hotel Santa Isabel features two dining options, the buffet restaurant – SALA SANTA ISABEL and the BEER CELLAR, a cosy and intimate table service restaurant. With fabulous dishes on offer, both restaurants offer the hotel’s homemade beer Klosterbrau Santa Isabel, served in a traditional stein.

A TASTE OF NEW ENGLAND AT HOTEL BELL ROCK

A sprawling property, a short walk away from the theme park, BELL ROCK is one of the newer Europa Park hotels. Themed in a New England, USA style, this is somewhat of a departure from the general European theming onsite, however, this accommodation has a big impact.

Its large coastal style buildings are magnificent, with nautically themed rooms, along with a full scale lighthouse which includes some amazing looking suites.

Bell Rock is also home to the resort’s only Michelin star restaurant, the 2* AMMOLITE. Located in the lighthouse building, this high end restaurant is a place to indulge and enjoy, before heading across to the SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS’ bar in the main building for drinks. With two additional restaurants and a bar, along with a large outdoor pool and a spa area, Hotel Bell Rock is a great option for your stay.

MARVEL AT THE ITALIAN SURROUNDINGS OF HOTEL COLOSSEO

I’d recommend any first time visitors to Europa Park to stay at HOTEL COLOSSEO for at least one night of their stay.  Themed around the Roman Colosseum sitting  alongside a large Italian piazza, this hotel feels like the hub of the resort. The full height lobby area opening up to a large fresco on the ceiling is magnificent. The rooms are comfortable and well themed and particularly special if you can get one overlooking the piazza.

The piazza itself features a large central fountain light show, a great spectacle for the whole family. Hotel Colosseo’s ground floor restaurants and bars are set around the piazza, some with outdoor seating in the warmer months. The ANTICA ROMA buffet restaurant offers a wide range of hot and cold dishes, whilst MEDICI & CESARE offer gourmet Italian dining in more intimate settings.

Take time to cross to the opposite side of the piazza and explore the Colosseum ruins. The steps up to the top offer great views back to the hotel and are a great spot to watch the fountain shows. Within the Coloseum building is yet another fantastic wellness spa area, and a private outdoor pool hidden to rear. Finish off your day by heading to the top floor of Hotel Colosseo and have a drink or two at BAR COLOSSEO.

EXPLORE THE NORDIC MUSEUM HOTEL KRØNASÅR

Set away from the main theme park, and sitting alongside the enormous RULANTICA waterpark, MUSEUM HOTEL KRØNASÅR is the newest of all Europa Park hotels. This sprawling 4* superior property, themed around a natural history museum in a Nordic style features a number of room styles and suites, along with two restaurants, two bars and a cafe. Sitting alongside a large lake with a bridge across to Rulantica, there’s also a spa area with an outdoor infinity pool.

There are many benefits of staying on the resort at the Europa Park hotels. While some of the resorts hotels have direct access to the theme parks, others are slightly further afield but there is a free shuttle bus that runs between the theme park, Rulantica and Europa Park hotels. Staying onsite allows earlier access into the theme park and waterpark, as well as providing access to the all resort hotels bars and restaurants, where booking is advisable.
